Biomedical company Adapttech Ltd. has announced a partnership with Cascade Orthopedic Supply, LP (Cascade) to distribute its INSIGHT system throughout the United States and Canada.

Based in the United Kingdom, Adapttech delivers technologies that “improve the quality of life for people with physical limitations.” According to the press release, its INSIGHT system is “designed to improve the socket fitting process involved with lower-limb prostheses.” The system combines a 3D scanner, sensors, wearable technology, and a mobile app to enable a comfortable fitting prostheses and rehabilitation monitoring.

The INSIGHT system was studied at two independent prosthetic clinics in the United States. The results delivered by the INSIGHT system were supported by outcome tests for health, function, satisfaction, and pain level. These studies allowed Adapttech to expand to the North American market.

OTW spoke with Adapttech CEO and Founder Frederico Carpinteiro about the partnership with Cascade. Carpinteiro told OTW, “Following the positive results from our US clinical trials, we are excited to have joined forces with Cascade to bring the benefits of INSIGHT to the North American market.”

Carpinteiro continued, “Their extensive market experience and sales support expertise makes them an ideal distribution partner for Adapttech.”
